This site is devoted to the new field of Biodiversity Informatics. In the words of Mallet and Willmot (2003): "Taxonomy, the science of naming and classifying organisms, is the original bioinformatics and a  fundamental basis for all biology".

Our main interests are Biodiversity informatics, image analysis applied to Taxonomy, Morphometric Geometrics, and, very recently, Genomics applied to Taxonomy.
